Christmas Joy

This weekend was so full of Christmas!

Friday night I went out with the 5 other teachers I used to teach with at St. Peter's.  Every year around Christmas time, we go to Buffalo Wild Wings and get a few drinks, eat dinner, and just talk.  I love those girls... I've mentioned that many times before.   It was so fun to catch up, talk, and laugh.

On Saturday, we did some cookie baking, apple shopping, and picture taking.  My sister and I took some pictures, and we got the house ready for a party my parents were having.  My parents had a lot of their neighbors over for chili, oyster stew, and lots of delicious sweets!  We also sang Christmas carols and told stories of our best Christmas moments.

This morning we went to church and I saw lots of family friends, and heard a wonderful message on how the song O Come, O Come, Emmanuel came about.  One of my favorites!  This afternoon we went to the St. Peter's Christmas program, and at the end, K met SANTA!!

Wish List

So lots of the blogs I read, as well as morning show segments, have all these lists of gifts.  I know everything I'm getting for Christmas, and I'm so thankful because a garage door that opens with a clicker, a computer that doesn't freeze when you open a document, and new dishes, are very exciting to me.  Seriously.  And my new lens?  A- MA- ZING.

But, just for fun, I have a little list of things I wouldn't turn away if they landed on my doorstep.

1.  Of course, first of all- world peace, a robot that cleans my house, and to be a size 4 would top the list.

2.  The following cook books.  I love cook books... borderline obsessed.

Getting those two items up has taken about 20 minutes, so I'm just going to list the rest.  Not as fun to read/look at.

3.  A pair of sparkly ballet flats

4.  Aveda Hand Relief Lotion.  mmmmmmmmmmm, love that stuff. 

5.  The Help dvd.  I'll probably get it for my mom for her birthday, so I'm sure I'll just steal it from her after a bit  : )

6.  MCP actions for lightroom... so I guess they're presets, but yeah.

7.  For K to drink out of a sippy cup.

weekend recap... a little late

Lately, I've been blaming everything on the 20 million teeth K is getting in.  Being busy, not sleeping a lot... you know.  Here's a pic- a rough one, but it shows her two huge front teeth that are coming in.

We spent today and Monday mostly in our jammies, running to Target and Cub foods, doing some laundry, making some food, and playing on the floor.  You see, I didn't see much of my baby girl over the weekend!

Backing up to Friday- our church put on a craft fair/boutique in the gym.  I set up some pictures along with my card, and my friend Sadie brought some baked goods to sell.  Our friends Carly and Sarah were there too, and not too many people came, but we had such a fun time chatting and having some excellent girl talk.  Saturday morning we were back at it.  Again, not too much traffic through there, but a fun time.  Here are a few pictures....

Sadie baked sweet breads in aluminum cans and then decorated them super cute.  Speaking of super cute, look at this apron!

Love it.  One lady didn't want to buy a sweet bread, but she did offer Sadie 5 dollars for the tree Sadie had as a decoration on the table!

Saturday morning Sadie brought me a French Toast muffin from Caribou.  Words do not describe how delicious these things are.  YUM.  Sadie's was a little smashed, still good though.

Besides the two days of craft fair, I had to photoshoots with two very lovely families.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.



It was a fun, but busy weekend.  A computer crash and non working internet threw a wrench into things as well, but it all ended up okay.

We topped it all off with a wonderful dinner with a group of friends Sunday night.  Carly made delicious enchiladas, even though Steve used the last of the tin foil  : )
